Meditation atop the Grand Pyramid in Uxmal, Yucatan.

Meditation takes time to learn and understand. Its rare but not impossible that people 'get it' in just a few lessons, however travel to places such as Uxmal, definitely place us in a place that is so uniquely unfamiliar, and yet at the some moment, connects us to energy in a direct and profound manner.

This photo was taken from the top of the Grand Pyramid in the Ancient Maya site of Uxmal, in Yucatan, of Mexico, when you reach the top of this Grand Pyramid in this you can feel the Life, but not just contemporary life, you can connect with the Ancestors who built this site and lived within it for generations.
I once believed that Archaeologist ‘dug things up’ so that they could determine what the ‘history was’. However, while that is certainly true, I have been taught, and believe that the real purpose is to ‘open the energy flow through these Ancient pyramid sites’ and in that way these ancient sites may ‘connect and vibrate’ as clearly as possible with the resident energy of Planet and Universe’.
One of the most profound meditations I have ever had happened at Uxmal, on the very day that this photo was taken.
The vibration of the energy of this site burst within me…connecting me to the natural energy of love and light. This happens to me, as it does in all of us, every time we experiences ancient or natural sites. Arriving at opening of 8:am, I was there totally alone for a long while and had the entire Grand Pyramid to myself shared only with nature and the Maya God’s and Goddesses.
Meditation takes time to learn and understand. Its rare but not impossible that people ‘get it’ in just a few lessons, however travel to places such as Uxmal, definitely place us in a place that is so uniquely unfamiliar, and yet at the some moment, connects us to energy in a direct and profound manner. Along the path, each meditation adds to the experiences and sustainability of the state of peace and calmness that can be found through the process of meditation and the physical changes such work guides us through. There is a sense of self-awareness that flows through out brain and reshapes the connectivity of our brain which in turn helps to heal negativity, pain, fear and the ancestral history that lingers within the fibre of our DNA.

As I meditated I felt as though I had dropped into another time and space and I am sure this has added to and changed my life and my being. I am ‘consciously’ aware of this, and I am so very happy and proud to share this with everyone who shares the path to conscious living.
So surround yourself with light. Find the light even in the darkest of situations…..consciously recognize and acknowledge that there is darkness within all living things, a duality, including in each us. Don’t be afraid of the dark for without it we could not know light.
I love cultural travel because it is opens humanity to the heart of the Indigenous Peoples that have walked, and walk this Path and have done so long before there was recorded time. I believe that it is important to listen to their ways as they are connected to the Great Spirit.

Life provides us with many amazingly natural experiences in our lives that may overwhelm our senses when they happen.
When you meditate saver the energy of silence and the peace that you feel when you remember these connections, and bring them into your meditation to know that indeed, you are shown the more of the path to conscious living each time you spend meditating.
In love and light,
